Cap-a-cap-a-chino!!!

First one since January! I really really fancied one so I had one....don't know what all the fuss is about, it was sweet and sickly and it didn't have any sugar in it, just semi skimmed milk. No thank you, I'll stick to my strong black coffee if you don't mind, much nicer and IPD friendly too!

Bear with me....life has been hectic!

Give me a few days and I will be back in the kitchen...I promise!

I have a free weekend coming up so will be trying the last few dessert recipes from the pink cookbook. I also have company on Monday for a few days this will give me the excuse I need to do something a bit fancy, so I'll be cooking up something worth photographing which will then post on here.

But if you're here you may as well have a look around, check out all the old IPD recipes, I have loads of them, starting way before last January, there are lots of family recipes here too...bet you haven't seen them all?
You search through the old stuff, while I busy myself cooking new ones.

Feel free to grab a coffee while you're here...

I'll even give you a choice...which is your favourite?
Decaf added as requested!

Marianne's Hot Chocolate

This is another recipe from the forum.
I have been having a bit of a struggle eating breakfast lately so opted for a hot chocolate drink instead. At 7am it was simple to put together and with only 3 ingredients didn't take too long. First I mixed 1 tsp cocoa powder with a little boiling water, topped up with more boiling water and added a big slurp of cream. I was expecting a greasy watery brown thing, but was pleasantly surprised, with no sugar or sweetener you would expect bitterness but it was creamy, chocolatey and pleasingly moreish. I have definitely lost my sweet tooth on this WOE. This kept me going until 9:30 when I could face breakfast. Thanks Marianne this is keeper!

Edited to say: I popped it into my Boden milk frother and this is how it came out!

Looks much more appetising...don't you think?
