Oh boy!! More techno jargon! I have just realised today is my 1st anniversary on this WOE! Can't really believe it. Unfortunately I havn't lost anything like I had hoped - not quite 2 stone with at least another 2 to go - and nothing since beginning of Jan!! So feeling pretty miz - maybe not having the Forum is an omen for me to have a rethink. Am certainly having more time!! Gemini.
Hi there. This is such a pain in the arse, but see below from the teh guy. Hoping it'll be back up in the next 24 hours, but it's a technical issue and therefore outside our control, alas.
Hi India,
I’m really sorry again for the inconvenience of the website being down. I’ve been on the phone to the hosting company regularly since the beginning of the weekend and each time are assured that they’re working on it. We’re also trying to figure out anything we can do here to get the service resumed but unfortunately the problem lies with the hosting company and we’ve seen changes are being made and backend areas restored so I’m confident they’re working on it.
We’re well aware that the service is unacceptable and please be assured we’re as frustrated as you with the problems. We’re already making plans to make sure that this doesn’t happen again. In the meantime, I’ve replied to any forum members who have emailed me and let them know that we’re sorry for the inconvenience and we’re working on getting it resolved.
I will of course keep you posted with any developments or updates as soon as I can.
Hi Tulip - love your blog! Thanks for hosting all of us while the forum is out of action. Nice to hear from India and from Tim. Am missing all of the daily chat - it has been part of my life for over a year now. Happy anniversary to Gemini! Big hugs to everyone, Mari
Thanks for keeping us up to date Tulip - hope you don't feel hijacked by us bobbling on here and yacking! I have to say I think the reference to backend areas being restored sounds very funny - do you think it's anything to do with the poo thread??? And thanks to India for popping on the message - it must be a major pain in the backend areas for both her and Neris. So much effort goes into the Forum from so many quarters - being without it makes you realise just how much a part of every day life our cyber mates have become. My OH is tired of me whinging "Where is it? Has it come back? etc etc etc" However we have to go and paint now - the colour below the dado in the newly decorated hotel lounge has turned out yellow(aimed for pale gold) we weren't there to stop them, so the penance is the pair of us have to redo it before the guests return tomorrow. At least we have a full pot of the old colour (which is a great match to the new wallpaper) I hate painting. I haven't painted anything myself for DECADES. Hey ho - needs must. E x
Humph, can't believe this is lasting so long. And I need to post about forming an addiction to mascarpone - how much of a problem is that? Anyone know? Thanks
Funnily enough, Peridot , I have the same problem..I'm just going to stop buying it. I am slipping more and more down my throat! 1gm carb for 25gms or thereabouts. Delicious, isn't it?
Cascas - not sure where I'd find the chat shack network... I know I can't get into the pigs2twigs regular one...something wrong with my java? sound painful!!
Keep going Gemini...maybe use this lack of forum to re-read the Pink Bible! Well done on the 2 stone tho...
India - Thanks for that, at least it looks like they are trying to sort it out. Until then I'll just keep this lot amused in here...they're a messy lot, and they don't half drink a lot of decaff!!!!
E - I don't mind you all being here at all, its great to get company...I'm missing the forum too but everyone is here so woohoo!!
Peridot - I love mascarpone, but I love creme fraise even more....with strawberries and melted 75% chocolate melted over it...oh I don't think I'll show a loss this week at all!!!
Hi all, Phewwwwww, its good to hear from India about the forum.
Oooh, marscapone addiction? Ive just developed a ricotta addition - have found and IPD friendly recipe from South Beach which could be used with marscapone too I think.
For those desperate moments(I had a couple of biggies last week)
Desperation Pud.
Grab half a tub of ricotta, stir in to taste:
1 teaspoon-ish cocoa, splenda to taste(if required) a sprinkling of (decaff) expresso or granules some toasted almonds(if really desparate just shake some from packet!) 1 square 70% dark chocolate chopped into pieces.
Stir together.....and eat - with relief and a halo! Its yummy - and filling, and I think its theoretically Phs1 friendly after the bootcamp bit.
So now Im going to try it with marscapone too - hmmmm - well, I guess its better than full-fat cake!
I've resisted buying mascapone today. just love it with Splenda! Also love it in one of Bee's savoury recipes - was it the sausage casserole with spinach? Can't remember. Hurry up Forum and come back. Pepper
messages on p2t keep changing: now there's a fatal error! The appearance of the words "out" and "memory" sends shivers down my spine: I wonder if I should begin to brace myself for the possibility that a chunk of the forum's "history" wmay be lost... But I know absolutely nothing about these things, so perhaps I should calm down. To think that I discovered the problem on getting up in the middle of the night to catch up with Storm's work saga, and might not ever be able to complete reading the thread. Ok, I will calm down.
Hope everybody is keeping well. It was reassuring in a cosy kind of way to read normal IPD food-talk in here.
Hi all, It's been really weird without the forum hasn't it. I have fallen off the wagon big style today, jammie dodgers and 2 slices of brioche. Ah well back to the start again tomorrow. Hope everyone else is ok, I'm very worried about Stormie, she must feel so abandoned. Thanks again Tulip for the refuge, it really is appreciated. HP. x

I just got the front page of the p2t website but couldn't get into the forum. Can't get into any of it now - looks like its making an effort to try and work!!!
I had cravings, on the way home tonight, for a small slice of dense fruit-cake, rich with cherries. So I thought I'd swing by your site instead, as it's got fewer carbs - lol! Thanks for the coffee!
Thanks for the offer Rustic...you're a star, all the others just left their cups where they were sitting and fled once the news filtered through....ruddy cheeky of em! LoL
tried the link on your blog and no, that doesn´t work either. Also tried to access via Google, no luck either... Feeling slightly discriminated at the moment ;-))
lally - I had a problem earlier this morning, but it's fine now - got in about half an hour ago. (I'm in France) If she keeps trying, I'm sure it will work....

Hope this help to make you feel a little less alienated, if not connected!!
Thanks for the support! I am working from a computer, that I´ve always used to go to the site, no problems here or on our firewalls. Cache is cleaned automatically when I close Internet Explorer (which I did), checked for any cookies from old files, deleted those and the website still sends me an error message: operation time out, server either is shut down or overloaded... I do envy you all who can get to the site! Maybe I´m lucky later??
Does anyone have the email address from the bloke who supports this site? It´s sooo frustrating not being able to get onto the site. Especially as I´m absolutely bored at work (last 2 days).
Managed to get on very last night but couldn't access all the threads - 'Hooray its back' - one of them! Can't get on this morning. Get the message 'Error 504 Gateway Timeout'!! Anyone else find the same? Thank you for this space Tulip!!
Finally! Website is also available from Germany. Looks like they had closed off some ports .... I´ll keep it open for the rest of the day, too scared I cannot access anymore if I close the internet!
Hi all, Its miserable here in Cardiff today without pig2twig. The weather's foul, every muscle in my body is aching from the gym this morning and a walk this afternoon and I would do anything for some rice tonight with my Thai green chicken curry. I'm determined not to weaken though its hard without the support. I hope its back soon

Hi India and thanks for that. There have been lots of rumours as I'm sure you can imagine!
Meanwhile, we've been getting mutual support in corners all over the web!
