Chick Peas with Chilli, Garlic & Thyme
Originally from Nigella Bites. This is a crude version of it, but very tasty all the same.
1 small onion, quartered
chilli pepper flakes
Garlic powder
Dried Thyme
14 oz tin of chick peas
Olive Oil
Salt and pepper
Put first 4 ingredients into a food processor and whizz until it's a pulp.
Heat some oil in a frying pan until hot
Cook onion paste for 5 - 10 mins until golden brown
Add chick peas and 1/4 can of water
Put lid on and cook till hot
When they are ready, turn into a warm plate and drizzle with olive oil and fresh chopped thyme leaves and salt.
