Help...It says I'm forbidden!!

...Forbidden You don't have permission to access / on this server.
Additionally, a 403 Forbidden error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request...

...anyone else having problems???
Edited to say...Its obvious we are all having problems. You're welcome to leave messages for each other until the forum's up and running again!

  1. Hi Tulip, Helena hear from Pig2Twig. I haven't been able to get in since last night either. Came to look on your site as I love the wonderful pictures and hoping to hear some news about the forum.

    Kind Regards

  2. Helena, what are we going to do without our P2T fix??? Glad its not just me though...we'll have to hold each others hands until it they let us in! lol

  3. Hi Tulip, I feel bereft. I spent the day worrying that I might have posted something offensive (having had a few fruit based cocktails last night) and had been ejected. Glad to hear it's not just me.

There must be a few folks out there today who are feeling a little lost.

Glad to be able to talk to you.

And by the way, as I have said before, your cooking skills are phenomenal! I adore looking at your photos and descriptions of how you made and presented the food. For the paperback edition of the cookbook, I,N&B, really should include your photos. You have inspired me to start cooking again.

  4. Is this the P2T refuge? Albeit temporary --- I hope!
Thanks for the lifeline Tulip, your photos are a huge consolation!

  5. Phew...not just me and Helena then? You're free to use this as a P2T refuge. Hope its not out for too long...I'm having withdrawal symptoms.
Thanks for all the compliments…glad you’re liking it.

  6. Thanks Tulip, this is far and away the best "refuge" I have ever seen!
Hope P2T will resume normal service asap. Life doesn't seem right without it!

  8. It's still out this morning (how sad am I that I checked this early?) The main lineindustries site is down too so there must be something up with their servers.

I sent an email to them but guess it'll be at least tomorrow before it's fixed.

Oh well, back to the real world!

  9. Yup, having P2T website issues. Same exact message as you. It's quite a bummer really as I've been really needing to find a couple of things out. PLus, I've done 2 (IPD friendly) take-aways in two days with two glasses of wine on each of those days! No biggie I know, but I feel somehow absolved of guilt when I confess all on the forum :D

Can't wait for it to be back to normal! Thanks for providing a sanctuary! :) xx

  10. A whole weekend without the forum...I'm not sure if I can cope! I wanted to get a few recipes but couldn't...oh well, I've made my cheesecake and a IPD friendly rhubarb fool...so that will have to do.

Marie - Yup! Sorry, I've been neglecting my zaars friends while doing this WOE...too much temptation on zaars at the moment!

Vix - I know its not the same as confessing on the site but take absolution on here...I am getting near on 200 hits a day mostly from fellow Twiggers off the site, so its almost the same! lol

    Hope it comes back soon!

  11. Thanks Tulip - this blog is really helping to keep me focused. Photos are inspirational to use alongside Bee's book. Hope forum back tomorrow.

  13. Pepper here. I thought I'd been wickrd and ejected, too! Glad its not that. Yesterday was very strange, particularly the evening. V sad its not up yet. taking refuge in the (empty) chat room and here with Tulip's wonderful photos.

  14. Hello fellow refugees!

Glad to find you here - what a lovely blog, Tulip.

  15. Helena here again. It's so strange not having the forum. Even if you don't post, it's so good to look in and see what everyone is up to.

I am just about to cook a terrine of chicken in parma ham, which I saw on Come Dine with me. Hope it comes out ok.

I guess we won't get the forum back till tomorrow.

have a good day fellow refugees and thanks for hosting us Tulip.

  16. Hi everyone, Laurren here. Thank goodness for you and your wonderful blog Tulip!

I'm getting the same message from yesterday lunchtime until now - Sunday lunch.

The laugh is, I thought it was my computer, Ive cleaned it, asked my service provider about it, they thought Id got a broken file - and when I asked some tecchy friends about how to repair it - they asked if I could have been thrown off too!

Thanks so much for hosting Tulip. Hope they let us in soon - I'm missing it lots already.

  17. Hi - Lettuceleaf here. To be honest, there had been a few really nasty threads lately and, once I'd realised it wasn't just me not getting in, I wondered if someone had just pulled the plug on all of us! Really hope not and that we will all be back in the forum tomorrow. Well done TF - thank goodness for your blog!

    ReplyDelete
  18. Thank the lord

Here you all are. I knew Tulip's kitchen would provide a refuge for us. I didn't realise how addicted I was to the forum, it's been a nightmare not being able to access it. Fingers crossed we'll be back on track tomorrow eh. By the way Tulip, your blog is amazing! Well done for being so helpful to us all x

  19. I agree - like arm has been cut off!
Apparently their website is hosted by 1and1, who are upgrading their servers at present. Hopefully they'll get cracking and normal service will be resumed.
The fact that so many of us miss it shows how important it is to us. Some might say that this is a little sad, but I think it makes clear how much depends on support - even from people you've never met.
Take care all & thanks Tulip for providing us with a safety blanket. Diddlesmum xx

  20. Not sure how this works - or if indeed it does - I tried you first Tulip as I could remember your website best - but then it wanted lots of info to register and I was already a google user but had no idea what password I'd used etc so trying anonymous now. I got hold Of Annie through her lovely antique baby gifts website - I too thought I'd somehow unwittingly committed a grave Piggy error and had been unceremoniously ejected!Annie reassured me that it was THEM not US. I have been worrying about storm - hope it's back up tomorrow so we can have a catch up - a weekend without pig2twig - unheard of....

  21. It is a lovely blog- and so nice to find a place to run to when the door to piggy support is firmly closed - I almost emailed India but when I looked at her article in this Sunday's Times I decided that wailing about the absence of pig2twig wasn't appropriate given the really difficult issue she was writing about......

  23. Thanks Tulip, so glad to find out it's not me. It is interesting that we all felt a little rejected. Habits of a lifetime I guess. Will hopefully see you all on P2t tomorrow.
    Big kisses

  24. I've been miserable all day, thinking I'd been chucked off and missing my daily fix. If it is the web host, why could they not leave a comforting message instead of making us feel it was our fault. Not very user-friendly and certainly not in the spirit of Pig2twig. Thanks Tulip, for this haven. Love, Anne

  25. Hi Tulip.
Came just to see if the pics of lemon and lime cheese cake were available yet - but am happy to see it isn't just me can't access Pig 2 Twig.....I had a crisis of confidence in the WOE Friday evening and Saturday evening could't access the site, thought it was my punishment!!
I've been using your site to ask my OH which IPD meals he fancies but never thanked you for your efforts so consider yourself well and truely thanked now - brill blog

  27. Hi all, missing the forum too, glad it's not just me. It's amazing how we have all come to rely on each other. Thank you all for your support, and thank you Tulip for this refuge. Hopefully we will be back to normal tomorrow.

  28. Thx for the cheese cake pics - looks absolutely fab! I'm doing a birthday dinner Wednesday so was banking on this for a dessert option along with cheese, biscuits and celery.....it looks yummy and without the need to explain I'm dieting - superb!

  29. You could definatley do this for guests. The lemon & lime has a really fresh flavour, but I'm thinking of trying raspberry or strawberry S/F jelly and decorating with fresh berries!

  33. Hi can I take refuge here?

I've been getting a "server stopped responding" message, and like the rest of you I thought I'd posted something hideously inappropriate.

Plus I'm having a bad day after eating something full of MSG, hot flushes, palpitations, bad head, the works.

    I need my forum fix!

  34. I STILL can't get in. It's reassuring to keep checking here and see that it's not just my system. Suffering serious deprivation syndrome!

When someone gets in can they post here please?

  35. I need my fix too!!

As soon as I can get into P2T, I will post it on here...I'm sure the rest of you will do the same too!

  36. Just thought I'd share the email I had from line industries with you all so that you know they are working on it!

    Hi,

I'm afraid that we're experiencing technical issues with the hardware on
which the pig2twig website is running. We are working with the hosting
company to get this resolved as quickly as possible and please be
assured that we are doing all we can to get normal service resumed and
the issue is the website hosting rather than your local computer.

    Best regards,
    Tim

    ReplyDelete
  37. Thanks for that Tim. I'm sure you've just made loads of twiggers happy. Not as happy as they will be when normal service is resumed, but happy to know that things are progressing. lol

    ReplyDelete
  38. I can't get in either....I'm also glad it's not just me, I thought that I had been banned from using the work computer....

Its really sad that so many people, including me, have commented here or on Chat that one of our first instincts was that we had been personally excluded from the site for some misdemeanor. What an awfully paranoid bunch we are!!

  57. Hello all, still hanging around waiting for the forum to return. Glad to see Tim's message on here as I was beginning to doubt P2T was ever going to come back.

We do seem a very sensitive bunch, worrying we had been ejected. There was something about the message "You have been forbidden" that just seemed very personal and immediately made me fear I had committed a misdemeanour.

Hope everyone is doing well and staying focused. See you all back on the forum soon.

    ReplyDelete
  61. I was worried about all the people that might be out there thinking they're barred (and hitting the chocolate through rejection!) so sent an email to Tim at Lineindustries to see if he can send a mass mail to the forum members once things are back up and running.

Nothing back from him yet though - watch this space.

    Hi Tulip
If anyone's interested there's a P2T thread on the times health club forum, free to join, just create an account and there's a load of other info as well. I found it from India's blog.

Of course, this is a good place to hang out if Tulip doesn't mind having a kitchen full.....

    Lisa

I don't mind having a kitchen full, I'll put the kettle on, you're all welcome!

Babs, you will find all the recipes in either Neris & India's Idiot Proof Diet Cookbook or on the forum (once it's back online.

    1tsp mustard powder or mustard
    juice of half a lemon
    a tablespoon of wine vinegar
    a teaspoon of salt
    250 ml of oil
    LET THE YOLKS SETTLE
press your blender into the bottom of the jug. Blitz for a second and stop. Repeat. Do this many times. You will see mayo forming in the bottom of the jug. After a bit you can incorporate remaining oil by moving the blender through the mixture. After one minute you have a jug of mayo!!!!

Thanks for your email. I'm afraid that we're experiencing technical issues with the hardware on which the pig2twig website is running. We are working with the hosting company to get this resolved as quickly as possible. While I understand the frustration this is causing we’ve been doing everything we can and chasing the hosting company to get this resolved. The problem isn’t just with the Pig2Twig site but many sites that they’re hosting so I’m sure they’re doing all they can to resolve this.

In the meantime, if you could please pass this message on to any other users of the forum you know it would be much appreciated and reassure them that we’re doing all we can to get the forum back online.

    Best regards,

  73. I also think it's interesting that so many people thought they'd been personally excluded. I wonder what that says about the underlying tone of the p2t website. OH is an IT expert of 20 years standing - and he says it looks as if they were trying to improve the service and something has gone drastically wrong - in fact he says there's a risk they have done some serious dammage and we may have disappeared - or some it it may have anyway (but he's a bit of a pessimist....)

  80. I'm such a blooming fusspot - I spend ages writing stuff on the forum and only occasionally post without checking if I think the computer is about to eat something - I watched Emma Thompson on Rich and Jude (hangs head in shame again) and she had me howling as she described her hate hate relationship with her computer- saying hers would remove the skirting board and hide her script and then nail it back on - that's how I see the thing - definitely malevolent AND it makes me spell things wrongly (urgent brain rewire required...)
Ah well, have to trot now as mother has been in her room since we came back from our marathon outing so she needs our company again! She'll have to go to bed before Hotel Babylon though - she's 84 and she'll tut all the way through....It's fine though - she's an early to bedder and stays here for long stretches(and has done so for the last 8 years) so we have an understanding about not being together ALL the time.It preserves sanity on both sides!

  86. Phew, phew and phew! So desperate and - of course - convinced that I had been personally FORBIDDEN - that I joined the p2t thread in the times health forum (couldn't remember any twiggers'sites/blogs addresses, and it came up on google)to try and find out what happened. Thanks Tulip for hosting this and for posting in the times thread. I'm rather taken aback at how lost and disconnected and abandoned I felt when I could not find my beloved forum. Interesting phenomenon. I hope most twiggers now know what's going on, and that it is technical rather than personal (amazing how many of us thought that it was our own personal fault...). See you soon on the forum. xxx Paola (Pedantissima)

  93. Hi Tulip and all you fellow twigs to be. Site is still down so I have come here for my p2t fix lol. Actually, I have a question for tulip - how do you grate cauliflower? - I have tried it with a normal hand grater and got into a total mess, do you use a kitchen machine or is there a trick to it?

    Regards
    Dagmar

    ReplyDelete
  94. I use a blender with the normal attachment. I found using the grater created much longer 'strands' and the normal attachment is fine as long as you keep an eye on how finely it's chopping the cauli.

I made the aubergine, feta & spinach pie yesterday and adapted it slightly which I think made it a bit more interesting:
    - added 2 tbsp of toasted pine nuts to the mix
    - used 10 nuggets of frozen spinach rather than 5
    - grated some (slightly un-Greek) cheddar on top of the aubergine pie 'crust'

The end result was awesome, and the cheese topping made it look and smell divine. None left this morning though!

I emailed Tim y-day and asked what was going on with the website/forum, his reply was:

"Please be assured that the website will be back up and running as soon
as we can. We're experiencing hardware issues relating to the website
hosting but we're doing all we can to get this back online."

Thought I'd pass this on to you all. Just a shame Tim or somebody else hasn't thought to email all of the people who's email addresses he has from when they signed up to the forum.... would have been nice I think, and he obviously has email access (was sent from his line industries address).

Ho hum - whinge over for now! Thank goodness we can congregate here for some company. :o) Let's put the kettle on!

  97. Sounds like the server got fried and they lost the data!

I'm sure India will get something set up: she knows how we all rely on each other's suppport.

  98. Agree with you Magimum. India and Neris must be quite concerned about us all.
Am so glad I had "saved" Tulip's blog, it's been a real sanity saver!

  99. Hi all. Sarahs999 here. About that lemon lime cheesecake - I made it last year and it was REALLY delicious, but I don't agree it's phase two. IT clearly says in the book that we can have sugar free jelly after the first two weeks (I know we're supposed to be weaning ourselves off sweet stuff, but I will always want to have some - it's OK for India as she never had a sweet tooth!). So it's phase one, but not if you're hardcoring. Also, interestingly I've stopped making puddings anyway as the extra food was slowing me down. Although I do still snarf too much chocolate every now and again...

I have to say the situation is not looking so good for the forum, is it? Seems somewhat embuggered...

  100. I work in IT and it is pretty unusual for servers to be down for this length of time. I'm surprised that a professional web hosting company didn't have some kind of disaster recovery strategy for hardware failure - must have been a big one!

I'm sure the forum will be back but I reckon there will be at least some data lost.

I did suggest to Tim that he send an email out to everyone but never heard back from him - guess he must be under quite a bit of pressure at the moment...

  101. Comment No 100!

Here's a reason to be cheerful.
I am finding I am getting a lot more done!

Every day, I will use one of the (many) hours I spent on P2T taking a brisk walk or doing the exercise of my choice. I fall down badly in this area, so hopefully the habit will stick!

  102. hi guys
sorry if someone has already said this but dont have time to read through all the comments. I spoke to Tim. he asked me to pass on a message to say "Please be assured that the website will be back up and running as soon
as we can. We're experiencing hardware issues relating to the website
hosting but we're doing all we can to get this back online. If you could please pass on the message that we're doing all we can to
get this back online and make sure this doesn't happen again it would be
much appreciated. We know how much you guys value the forum and are
    really sorry for the inconvenience"

    that should explain things

  106. Hi folks - this thread is a lifesaver. Thanks so much, Tulip, for letting us play in your kitchen - we'll try not to leave too much rubbish.

Culinary crisis here - wanted to make the Stilton & Broccoli soup again but didn't copy the recipe off the website and it's not in the Book. Anyone got a copy?
    Thanks
    Petal x

  107. Hi Petal...I don't mind you all hanging out in my kitchen, but its not the rubbish I'm worried about its all the decaf coffee you're going through!!! LOL sorry I can't help you with the stilton & broccoli soup off the forum. I do have one I used which I will post when I finish work later if that's any good?

I have started another thread to leave messages for each other on as this is getting a little long!

  108. Hello - I'm new to this and not good with computers. How would I find the new thread you have started. Have just started the diet 8 days ago and have lost 7lbs so delighted. It took me ages to be able to sign on to the forum and spent nearly all evening on there to find with huge disappointment that it had disappeared. Only managed to find your blog through and AOL/Google search and would be v. upset if I lost those comments too. Can you help please?

    Kindest Regards

  109. Hi Kirsten... the new thread is just at the top of the main page...it also has a pig and a twig on it. Just click on 'add comment' like you did with this one.
Well done on your weight loss so far.
